The rules for using this site. Short, and in plain English.

These terms apply to your use of this website. They do not govern any work I do for you as a client. Paid work is covered by a separate written agreement between us, and where that agreement says something different to this page, the agreement wins.
You are welcome to read the site, quote from it with attribution, and share it. Please do not copy it wholesale, pass it off as your own, scrape it, or use it to train a model without asking me first.
Please also do not try to break it, misuse the contact form, or use the site to send anything unlawful.
The writing, the design, the photographs and the code on this site are mine unless stated otherwise. The client names, logos and trademarks that appear belong to those companies and are shown to describe work I have been part of, not to imply that they endorse me.
Case study material is published with permission or drawn from information that is already public.
The case studies on this site describe what happened for particular clients in particular circumstances. They are real, and they are not a promise that the same thing will happen for you. Marketing outcomes depend on your market, your offer, your budget and a hundred things neither of us controls.
Nothing on this site is a guarantee of any result, ranking, placement or revenue figure.
The writing on this site is general information about brand, PR and search. It is not legal, financial, tax or accounting advice, and it is not tailored to your situation. Speak to the relevant professional before acting on anything that has money or legal consequences attached.
Where this site links to somebody else, that is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of the link, and I have no control over what they do with their site or your information once you are on it.
